Shelly Taft was born and raised in Massachusetts, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Politics and Government and International Studies. After the birth of her own children, she realized her true passion was supporting new families with their birth and feeding goals.
Shelly became a certified birth and postpartum doula and childbirth educator in 2006. While providing birth and postpartum support, she certified as a La Leche League Leader and began running local breastfeeding support groups and providing phone support to new families.
In 2012, Shelly went to school to earn her nursing license. After graduating in 2014, she earned her IBCLC credential and opened a busy and successful private practice providing support to families in MA and RI.
Shelly became an Infant Sleep Educator in 2020 and launched her podcast The Baby Pro Podcast and accompanying parenting community, The Baby Pro Bistro.
She lives in Massachusetts with her husband, three children, and four bonus children. When not supporting new families, you can find her in the gym, hiking, traveling, or knitting.
