Knowledge Gap
Currently the management of GERD- like symptoms is primarily pharmacological, especially in infants, despite there being causes beyond acidic refluxate. IBCLCs are often unaware of the impact oral dysfunction has on aerophagia which often leads to GERD like symptoms. This course aims to provide IBCLCs with the knowledge and skills to be an active team member in the management of infants having symptoms of GERD.
